Georgia Fugees Academy Charter School is a tuition-free public school that does not discriminate in admissions or access to its programs on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, disability, age, veteran status, homelessness, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable federal or state law in its programs, activities, admissions, or employment.
Families submit an application during the school's announced enrollment period. Currently the school is accepting applications on a rolling basis.
If applications exceed the available seats in a grade, class, program, or building, GFACS uses a random selection process (lottery) process to determine admission. GFACS may also use an SCSC-approved weighted lottery designed to increase access for designated educationally disadvantaged students.

As permitted by Georgia law and the school's charter, enrollment priority may be provided to:

eligible children of qualifying GFACS employees or Governing Board members; and

siblings of students currently enrolled at GFACS.
GFACS may also use an SCSC-approved weighted lottery designed to increase access for designated educationally disadvantaged students.

A lottery has not yet been announced for the 2027-2028 school year if if needed is anticipated in early 2027.
