Title I, Part A
Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged
Title I, Part A provides additional resources to ensure all children, particularly those who are economically disadvantaged or at risk of failing, have the opportunity to meet challenging state academic standards. At Georgia Fugees Academy Charter School, Title I funds are used to strengthen instruction, provide academic support, and increase family engagement so that every student can thrive.
Georgia Fugees Academy Charter School operates a Schoolwide program under Title I, Part A.
Federal law requires schools receiving Title I funds to partner with families in meaningful ways. We hold an Annual Title I Meeting to share information about the program, use of funds, and parent rights. We distribute and review the school’s Parent and Family Engagement Policy each year. Parents, teachers, and students work together to develop a School-Parent Compact outlining shared responsibilities for student success.
